‘Frozen 2′ release date news: Olaf to get his own love interest in sequel?

Disney has remained secretive regarding the possible contents of the much-anticipated sequel to 2013′s hit animated film “Frozen.” Aside from the fact that “Frozen 2” has finally been confirmed to hit the theaters within the next few years, the fans have no idea what will be next for the Snow Queen Elsa and her sister, Princess Anna. However, there are interesting scoops coming out of the internet which suggest that one of the well-loved “Frozen” characters will find his true love in the sequel.

Olaf is one of the most memorable characters in “Frozen” that made the young and young-at-heart viewers laugh at his antics. If the latest rumors are correct, there will be more reason for the “Frozen” fans to look forward to seeing his character in the sequel. According to insider reports, Olaf is expected to have a girlfriend. Yibada reported that Olaf might be meeting the love of his life in “Frozen 2,” although she is not expected to be a fellow little snowman. Instead, Olaf will fall in love with a human.

Meanwhile, the fans were also rattled by the news that Elsa might die in “Frozen 2.” As reported by E! News, Elsa’s voice actress, Idina Menzel said that Elsa may die in an accident where she falls off an ice cliff. However, her statement during the AFI Life Achievement Award carpet event could also be viewed in a humorous way, and nothing in what she had said is connected to the actual events in the sequel.

Kristen Bell, who plays the role of Anna, confirmed last April during the promotion of her film with Melissa McCarthy, “The Boss” that the production stage of “Frozen 2” has already commenced, Mirror UK reported.

She also added that Disney, along with the whole staff and crew that created “Frozen,” is doing everything to make another quality movie with the sequel. Bell noted that it took some time for Disney to do the necessary preparations just to make sure that the continuation of the successful movie will be perfect.

“The story is great and they exude quality, and what I know about that whole team is that they wouldn’t just put something out to put it out. And that’s why it took them so long for them to even announce that we’re doing a second one.”

Aside from the marvelous visual treat and fresh story, fans can also expect a bunch of new songs. The original movies’ soundtrack has become very popular around the world, with the song “Let it Go” by Idina Menzel being a global hit and was translated to different languages.

Disney Is Bringing Olaf and Other ‘Frozen’ Characters to Its Park

Part of a big push to bring in more visitors.

Since launching in November 2013, Disney’s Frozen movie remains hot. After shattering box office records with over $1.2 billion on its way to the all-time pinnacle of animated movies, Disney has been able to market everything from video games to t-shirts to an upcoming line of Playmation toys aimed at young girls.

Now, beginning on June 21, fans will be able to step into the kingdom of Arendelle at the Norway Pavilion in Epcot, part of the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando.

This is part of a bigger push to integrate Disney’s biggest brands and franchises, such as Star Wars and Marvel, into the company’s theme parks, cruise ships, and resorts.

Disney is also integrating a cast of new big screen characters into its Orlando theme park. Ahead of the record-breaking $136 million launch of Pixar’s Finding Dory, Destiny the whale shark (voiced by Kaitlin Olson), Bailey the beluga whale (voiced by Ty Burrell), and Hank the “septopus” (voiced by Ed O’Neill) joined Epcot’s Turtle Talk with Crush attraction.

Disney’s first Latin princess (Princess Elena of Avalor) who debuts in the new Disney Channel animated TV series, Elena of Avalor this June, also will reside at the Magic Kingdom this August. (She’ll debut at Disney California Adventure this fall.)

All of these tie-ins are an effort to boost attendance at the parks. Revenue for Disney’s entertainment unit generated $2.1 billion in the second quarter, a 22% rise, thanks to hits such as Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Zootopia. And those numbers don’t include recent blockbusters The Jungle Book, Captain America: Civil War, and Finding Dory.

Banking on bringing in more visitors

Disney’s parks and resorts unit generated $3.9 billion in the second quarter, a 4% gain. The parks saw a 10% rise in income ($624 million) thanks to higher ticket prices, including the new peak hours pricing, and customers spending more on food, beverages, and merchandise.

But Disney CEO Bob Iger told analysts during a second-quarter conference call that park attendance was modestly down as a result of the new pricing strategy that implements surge pricing for tickets. For the first time in five years, earnings per share missed analysts’ forecasts.

S&P Capital analyst Tuna Amobi expects Frozen Ever After to have a meaningful impact on Epcot attendance in particular, and to Disney World overall.

“Just as Star Wars attractions have infused new life into Disney’s Hollywood Studios park since last fall, Frozen should help Epcot attract more kids this summer,” Amobi says. “Epcot traditionally skews older than other Disney parks, and this franchise caters to young girls.”

Frozen Ever After has new tech

Frozen Ever After is a new boat ride that’s part of an expanded Norway Pavilion area, which was once home to the Maelstrom boat ride that ran from 1988 through 2014. Frozen Ever After serves as an unofficial sequel to the feature film (which has its own theatrical sequel in the works for a reported 2018 release).

Composers Bobby Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez created new lyrics to the classic Frozen film songs, which you likely have memorized if there are little girls in your house. And the entire cast of the film, including Kristen Bell (Anna), Idina Menzel (Elsa), and Josh Gad (Olaf), have returned to provide dialogue and songs for this new ride. (Bell and Menzel are also confirmed for the movie sequel.)

According to Wyatt Winter, project manager and producer with Walt Disney Imagineering, the ride’s story takes place after the first film. “It’s really a happily ever after story,” Winter says. “Every year Elsa has frozen over the kingdom as part of the ‘Summer Snow Day’ celebration.”

What makes the four-minute ride unusual is that it employs advanced projector technology behind characters such as Queen Elsa, Princess Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, Sven, and Marshmallow to have more lifelike animation as the log boats travel through Arendelle.

“We have taken the audio animatronics and pushed it to the next level, so you’ll see the characters coming to life in this Frozen Ever After,” Winter says.

The new opening comes in the wake of the tragic death of a two-year-old boy by an alligator outside of Disney’s Grand Floridian Hotel, which overlooks the Magic Kingdom. Disney has since changed its signs to warn of alligators.

‘Frozen 2′ release date rumors: Plot written, new female villain expected

It is spring season but it feels like winter for “Frozen” fans with news that “Frozen 2” is already in the works.

It was confirmed by the voice behind Princess Anna, Kristen Bell in an interview with E! News, “They’ve just written it and they’re still doing tweaks, but I think we should be recording this month.” The news is music to the ears of little girls all over the world who sang along to Princess Anna and Queen Elsa in the movie “Frozen.”

“Frozen” was a phenomenal hit for Walt Disney. As if the $1 billion global box office revenue isn’t proof enough of its success, it bagged two Academy Awards and was made into a Broadway musical. Three years after its release, it is still continuously winning the hearts of moviegoers of all ages.

This smash turnout caused the delay in making “Frozen 2,” according to Kristen Bell. “That’s why it took them so long to even announce that we were doing a second one. Generally when you have a first successful movie you want to make a second one. It took them a while because they wanted to figure out what story they needed to tell and what would be important and engaging and I think they found it,” she revealed in the same interview with E! news.

A sequel to “Frozen: has been buzzing ever since. Fans have clamoring for a new story of the loving sisters Anna and Elsa, who proved that blood is thicker than water even when frozen – pun intended. Because of the strong following to “Frozen”, fans came up with different theories that might be included in “Frozen 2“.

A new female villain is expected in “Frozen 2″. Since it was Queen Elsa who played a protagonist and antagonist at the same time in the first movie, rumor has it that it will be Princess Anna this time. Queen Elsa was able to overcome her fear of her own powers with the help of her sister in “Frozen.” Wouldn’t be it exciting if Princess Anna will have her own powers as well? That is what many fans are speculating. It would be an interesting plot twist for the sisters to find their way to each other if the tables were turned. Fans are indeed into coming up with exciting theories.

Disney has yet to announce the official release of “Frozen 2.”

‘Frozen 2′ rumors: Queen Elsa dies?

Queen Elsa‘s journey and struggles were the biggest reasons why “Frozen” was the biggest animated film in 2013, but fans are now in a frenzy after several outlets reported that some speculations surfaced about the Ice Queen’s death in the sequel.

While many media outlets have suggested that the Queen will most likely find her love interest and her sexual orientation may be explored in part 2 of her and her sister’s story, some reports suggest that the coming of a new villain, who has the extreme abilities to quench ice, will probably end Elsa‘s powers and reign.

On the other hand, some outlets, such as The Revoluzionne and The Telegraph, suggest that Elsa is too important for the overall look of Frozen, and in case she dies in the sequel, she will most probably not die “for good,” but will instead make a comeback and be stronger than she was.

Meanwhile, Christian Today reports that the widely favored Olaf will find his own love, too, and this time around, may find his happiness.

Kristen Bell will be back as Anna and Idina Menzel as Elsa, while Eva Bella was recently confirmed to also be back as the young Elsa. Bella’s return raised speculations earlier that the origins of Elsa‘s powers may be revealed in the sequel.

One of the movie’s hits that won the production multiple awards is “Let It Go,” and with the sequel on the way, many fans are asking if they will yet again hear a song just as powerful as Elsa‘s solo or if there will be a twist in the list of songs to come out with the second installment.

Rumor has it that the musical team is working on a duet for the Arendelle sisters that will blow the minds of fans again just as Menzel’s rendition of Let It Go did.

To be directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, the release date for “Frozen 2” has yet to be revealed.

‘Frozen 2’ Movie Update: Director Chris Buck Reveals Movie’s Terrific Ending, Who Will Elsa’s Love Interest Be?

Frozen” by Disney surpassed the highest grossing animated film “The Lion King” when it was released in 2013 and it might be the case again for the sequel of the film, which is “Frozen 2.” The director of the animated film, Chris Buck, shared that the ending for the sequel has already been set and dubbed it as terrific.frozen-2

Frozen 2” will still feature the main characters of the film such as Queen Elsa, her sister Princess Anna, the snowman Olaf, Kristoff and Sven. The plot of the second movie is said to be quite the same as “Ozma of Oz” but fans are also interested on the love interest of Queen Elsa.

Many fans are pushing Olaf to be the love interest of Queen Elsa since he embodied true love and selflessness in the first film. However, there should be a plot twist or at least a twist in Olaf‘s character if he indeed becomes Queen Elsa‘s love interest for the sequel. Another leading man for the queen with the cold heart is said to be Prince Hans since he is rumored to return for the sequel in order to redeem himself from the evil plan he took part of during the first part of the animated film.

As for the progress of the film, director Chris Buck shared that the ending has been nailed but they are still figuring out how to start the sequel. The Oscar-winning animator and director admitted in an interview that they are still figuring a lot of things for the sequel in order to live up to the expectations of the fans.

Also, the plot of the upcoming “Frozen 2” will see Queen Elsa and Princess Anna battle an evil king alongside with their friends. The identity of the new villain in the upcoming sequel is yet to be revealed and Disney has not made any official confirmation with regard to the plot.

Frozen 2” will be hitting the theatres sometime in 2018. Who do you think should Queen Elsa‘s love interest be? Hit the comments and let us know what you think!

Queen Elsa to Finally Have a King? ‘Frozen 2′ Release Date, Cast, Plot & Rumors Here!

Although “Frozen 2″ co-director Chris Buck had previously declared that he had already figured out the ending for the much-awaited sequel, he had not taken the liberty of giving us hints of what it would be. Whatever it is, it must be a fantastic one – enough to convince the Disney big honchos to green light a follow up to the record-breaking original, that is.

Despite the tight-lipped secrecy over the upcoming movie’s plot, fans continue to speculate and split hairs over the “Frozen 2″ storyline. Some rumors mention the possibility of Olaf turning into Queen Elsa‘s love interest as “the snow character embodies true love and selflessness in the first film,” Master Herald noted.
“Of course, Olaf‘s character should be refreshed and modified, and that there should be a twist in his character if he is to become Queen Elsa’s love interest for the sequel,” the site added.
The hug-loving character could be a surprising choice for a leading man. Do you think Olaf as the Snow Queen’s love interest could be a suitable twist to the sequel?
Other rumors have it that a new and improved (read: repentant) Prince Hans could turn out to be Elsa’s one and only. He may, after all, unwittingly become King of Arendelle after all, if the rumor mill is right.
“Hans, the greedy villain in the first movie will be back in ‘Frozen 2′ but his once selfish heart will change. Apparently, Hans will prove that he is a changed man to capture the heart of Queen Elsa,” Christian Today said.
Other speculations eye a character outside of the “Frozen” world as a possible King to Elsa’s Queen.
“Jack Frost may make a crossover in Disney to guest star as Elsa’s love interest in ‘Frozen 2,’” predicted Venture Capital Post. “Both Elsa and Jack can potentially be a great love team considering that they can both control winter. They may have personality differences since Jack like pranks while Elsa is more focused due to her responsibilities as a queen, but we all know that opposites attract.”
Three possibilities, one common denominator – Queen Elsa’s love interest. Will “Frozen 2” show us a King for Elsa? What’s your best bet?
Right now, the directors of the sequel still have a couple of things to figure out for the movie as it is a challenge to top the critical and box office smash hit that is “Frozen.”
Will “Frozen 2″ top the 2013 hit? We will have to wait probably until 2018 to know the answer.
