Wish Bear is the mascot for Nottinghamshire charity When You Wish Upon A Star, which makes dreams come true for children suffering from life-threatening diseases.
The popular characters will be at the COSMO Authentic World Kitchen, in Milton Street, between noon and 3pm on Tuesday as part of an afternoon of fun to celebrate the charity’s fundraising partnership with the all-you-can-eat restaurant, which serves up more than 150 dishes from 10 different countries, including Japan, China, Brazil and Italy.
There will also be a face painter as part of the fun, which has been organised to officially mark the launch of the charity and restaurant’s Family Tuesday campaign, where children under 150cm tall can dine for just £1, with every pound going towards the worthy cause.
Diners will also be able to learn more about the charity, which grants wishes for children living with a life-threatening illness across the UK.
James Brion, director of COSMO Authentic World Kitchen, says that he is delighted to be working in partnership with When You Wish Upon a Star and hopes that plenty of families come along to enjoy a meal and join in the fun.
