‘Frozen’ Director Just Confirmed Tarzan Is Anna And Elsa’s Baby Brother

Frozen co-director Chris Buck just confirmed one of the longest-standing fan theories that Elsa and Anna’s parents did not immediately die at sea and instead stayed in a jungle after the shipwreck. They had a newborn son and they built a tree house only to meet a tragic end when they were devoured by a leopard.

anna-and-elsa-parents-670x429

Buck’s revelation just confirmed that Elsa and Anna’s parents have given birth to Tarzan. Frozen’s co-director is likewise the director of Tarzan and in an interview with MTV, he talked about the theory.

“Of course Anna and Elsa’s parents didn’t die. Yes, there was a shipwreck, but they were at sea a little bit longer than we think they were because the mother was pregnant, and she gave birth on the boat, to a little boy. They get shipwrecked, and somehow they really washed way far away from the Scandinavian waters, and they end up in the jungle. They end up building a tree house and a leopard kills them, so their baby boy is raised by gorillas.”

For Buck, working on Frozen for years allowed him to explore other storylines. “In my little head, Anna and Elsa’s brother is Tarzan. That’s my fun little world. Whatever people want to believe, go for it,” he further said. “That’s the spirit of Disney.”

Frozen 2 is on its way and it is exciting if the cast members will mention the theory. The full-length sequel is expected to come out before 2019 since Disney has pretty much mapped out its releases for 2017 and 2018 with no mention of Frozen 2.

Kristen Bell, who will reprise her role in the film, previously told Collider that the reason Disney is taking so long is that “they wanted to figure out what story they needed to tell and what would be important and engaging and I think they found it.”

Meanwhile, while waiting for Frozen 2, fans can look forward to Olaf’s Frozen Adventure that will air on ABC at the end of this year. The Christmas special will of course highlight the beloved snowman’s story. In the sequel, it is believed that Olaf will have a girlfriend.

Another relevant project is the Frozen Broadway show which will premiere in the spring of 2018. There’s no final word yet on the casting, but during the table read held in New York last May, Betsy Wolfe, Patti Murin, and Okieiete Onaodowan gave life to the roles of Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff.

The story of Frozen 2 remains to be seen but recently, some wondered if Disney will make Elsa its first LGBT lead star. Since Anna has Kristoff, several petitions have been started asking the company to #GiveElsaAGirlfriend. Idina Menzel, who lent her voice to the queen, told Pride Source that she’s happy but at the same time doubtful if Disney will listen to the requests.

“Maybe at first I was a little surprised because it’s Disney, but I can say that I’m excited that the conversation is happening. I can’t promise anybody that that’s what’s gonna happen… But deep down am I really happy that it’s causing people to talk about it and have these kinds of conversations? Yeah, I am.”
The 45-year-old already played the role of a bisexual in Rent. Her part as Maureen not only earned her the applause of the LGBT community, but also a Tony Award nomination.

Menzel considers herself lucky to be in a position where she inspires the young ones. She recalls receiving letters from kids who are struggling with their identities. She believes her character in Frozen reminds them to embrace who they are and start changing the world around them regardless of their identities.

‘Frozen 2′ Plot, Cast & Release Date: Idina Menzel Replacements Named; Josh Gad Talks About Olaf

Frozen 2” has still a long way to go, but speculations about the sequel’s plot and cast have already surfaced online. Even before the movie was confirmed, fans of the successful Disney animation have already appealed for a follow-up movie, proving that the 2013 movie was truly a global phenomenon.

Details of “Frozen 2” remains to be very limited as of writing. While several reports have already noted that “Frozen” characters Anna, played by Kristen Bell; Elsa, played by Idina Menzel; and Olaf, played by Josh Gad will all return to reprise their roles, it’s only actress Kristen Bell who has been actively sharing information about the sequel’s progress.

Many have started to speculate that Idina might not return, as several “Frozen 2” rumors have named Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift as possible replacements for the Broadway star. As iTech Post recently reported, Demi could be good choice given her powerful vocal range.

While nothing has been set on stone just yet, actor Josh Gad has a few expectations for his character Olaf in “Frozen 2.” As he recently shared, he wants to see Olaf grow while showing audiences how much he has changed since knowing more about the world. “You know, he’s so new to the world,” Josh said as Cinema Blend reported. “I’d love to see what being around in this world a little bit has taught him, or is teaching him.”

Meanwhile, new reports have also started to claim that “Frozen 2” will most probably introduce a King that will win over Queen Elsa‘s heart. According to Movie News Guide, the central theme for the upcoming movie could be about finding love. As the sisters mature, it would be possible that a love interest for the icy queen could be included in the storyline.

‘Frozen 2′ News And Updates: Olaf Christmas Special To Air Next Year; Sequel To Start Recording Soon?

Fans of the phenomenal movie “Frozen” might have something to watch out for while waiting for its sequel to materialize. Actress Kristen Bell recently confirmed that they have been working on something special for their avid supporters.

During an interview with Collider, Bell, who voiced Anna in “Frozen,” revealed that she just finished recording for her reprised role. But no, it’s not for “Frozen 2.” It turns out, the cast and crew of the hit Disney movie is working on other related projects.
“What we have been working on is an Olaf Christmas special that we’re doing for next year (airing on ABC).” the 36-year-old actress revealed. “We’ve recorded that already, which has been a lot of fun to work on.”
The said project is for the 2017 holiday special which focused on the cheerful snowman, Olaf. Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Sven are also set to return. The special, which is still untitled, will be directed by award winning directors Kevin Deters and Steven Wermers-Skelton. It will also be produced by Oscar Award-winner Roy Conli of the “Big Hero 6.” Original voice cast will also reprise their roles for the said special including Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel and Josh Gad.
Meanwhile, Bell also clarified that they haven’t began recording yet which is contrary to her earlier statement that they were about to commence recording for “Frozen 2.”

“We haven’t, actually. I thought we were about to start recording, but I was mistaken. So, we haven’t begun yet,” Bell admitted, clarifying her claims back in March.

The actress also added that the writers are working hard to polish the script, saying: “They’re putting the finishing touches on the script. We record, as those characters, often. At the change of season at the parks, whether it’s for Disneyland, Epcot, or when Japan opens, we will record new voices for our characters, but we actually haven’t started recording for the second Frozen.”
As of this writing, no official premiere date has been confirmed for “Frozen 2” but it is expected to release in late 2018.

‘Frozen 2′ release date news: Olaf to get his own love interest in sequel?

Disney has remained secretive regarding the possible contents of the much-anticipated sequel to 2013′s hit animated film “Frozen.” Aside from the fact that “Frozen 2” has finally been confirmed to hit the theaters within the next few years, the fans have no idea what will be next for the Snow Queen Elsa and her sister, Princess Anna. However, there are interesting scoops coming out of the internet which suggest that one of the well-loved “Frozen” characters will find his true love in the sequel.

Olaf is one of the most memorable characters in “Frozen” that made the young and young-at-heart viewers laugh at his antics. If the latest rumors are correct, there will be more reason for the “Frozen” fans to look forward to seeing his character in the sequel. According to insider reports, Olaf is expected to have a girlfriend. Yibada reported that Olaf might be meeting the love of his life in “Frozen 2,” although she is not expected to be a fellow little snowman. Instead, Olaf will fall in love with a human.

Meanwhile, the fans were also rattled by the news that Elsa might die in “Frozen 2.” As reported by E! News, Elsa’s voice actress, Idina Menzel said that Elsa may die in an accident where she falls off an ice cliff. However, her statement during the AFI Life Achievement Award carpet event could also be viewed in a humorous way, and nothing in what she had said is connected to the actual events in the sequel.

Kristen Bell, who plays the role of Anna, confirmed last April during the promotion of her film with Melissa McCarthy, “The Boss” that the production stage of “Frozen 2” has already commenced, Mirror UK reported.

She also added that Disney, along with the whole staff and crew that created “Frozen,” is doing everything to make another quality movie with the sequel. Bell noted that it took some time for Disney to do the necessary preparations just to make sure that the continuation of the successful movie will be perfect.

“The story is great and they exude quality, and what I know about that whole team is that they wouldn’t just put something out to put it out. And that’s why it took them so long for them to even announce that we’re doing a second one.”

Aside from the marvelous visual treat and fresh story, fans can also expect a bunch of new songs. The original movies’ soundtrack has become very popular around the world, with the song “Let it Go” by Idina Menzel being a global hit and was translated to different languages.

Disney Is Bringing Olaf and Other ‘Frozen’ Characters to Its Park

Part of a big push to bring in more visitors.

Since launching in November 2013, Disney’s Frozen movie remains hot. After shattering box office records with over $1.2 billion on its way to the all-time pinnacle of animated movies, Disney has been able to market everything from video games to t-shirts to an upcoming line of Playmation toys aimed at young girls.

Now, beginning on June 21, fans will be able to step into the kingdom of Arendelle at the Norway Pavilion in Epcot, part of the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando.

frozenprincesses

This is part of a bigger push to integrate Disney’s biggest brands and franchises, such as Star Wars and Marvel, into the company’s theme parks, cruise ships, and resorts.

Disney is also integrating a cast of new big screen characters into its Orlando theme park. Ahead of the record-breaking $136 million launch of Pixar’s Finding Dory, Destiny the whale shark (voiced by Kaitlin Olson), Bailey the beluga whale (voiced by Ty Burrell), and Hank the “septopus” (voiced by Ed O’Neill) joined Epcot’s Turtle Talk with Crush attraction.

Disney’s first Latin princess (Princess Elena of Avalor) who debuts in the new Disney Channel animated TV series, Elena of Avalor this June, also will reside at the Magic Kingdom this August. (She’ll debut at Disney California Adventure this fall.)

All of these tie-ins are an effort to boost attendance at the parks. Revenue for Disney’s entertainment unit generated $2.1 billion in the second quarter, a 22% rise, thanks to hits such as Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Zootopia. And those numbers don’t include recent blockbusters The Jungle Book, Captain America: Civil War, and Finding Dory.

Banking on bringing in more visitors

Disney’s parks and resorts unit generated $3.9 billion in the second quarter, a 4% gain. The parks saw a 10% rise in income ($624 million) thanks to higher ticket prices, including the new peak hours pricing, and customers spending more on food, beverages, and merchandise.

But Disney CEO Bob Iger told analysts during a second-quarter conference call that park attendance was modestly down as a result of the new pricing strategy that implements surge pricing for tickets. For the first time in five years, earnings per share missed analysts’ forecasts.

S&P Capital analyst Tuna Amobi expects Frozen Ever After to have a meaningful impact on Epcot attendance in particular, and to Disney World overall.

“Just as Star Wars attractions have infused new life into Disney’s Hollywood Studios park since last fall, Frozen should help Epcot attract more kids this summer,” Amobi says. “Epcot traditionally skews older than other Disney parks, and this franchise caters to young girls.”

Frozen Ever After has new tech

Frozen Ever After is a new boat ride that’s part of an expanded Norway Pavilion area, which was once home to the Maelstrom boat ride that ran from 1988 through 2014. Frozen Ever After serves as an unofficial sequel to the feature film (which has its own theatrical sequel in the works for a reported 2018 release).

Composers Bobby Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez created new lyrics to the classic Frozen film songs, which you likely have memorized if there are little girls in your house. And the entire cast of the film, including Kristen Bell (Anna), Idina Menzel (Elsa), and Josh Gad (Olaf), have returned to provide dialogue and songs for this new ride. (Bell and Menzel are also confirmed for the movie sequel.)

According to Wyatt Winter, project manager and producer with Walt Disney Imagineering, the ride’s story takes place after the first film. “It’s really a happily ever after story,” Winter says. “Every year Elsa has frozen over the kingdom as part of the ‘Summer Snow Day’ celebration.”

What makes the four-minute ride unusual is that it employs advanced projector technology behind characters such as Queen Elsa, Princess Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, Sven, and Marshmallow to have more lifelike animation as the log boats travel through Arendelle.

“We have taken the audio animatronics and pushed it to the next level, so you’ll see the characters coming to life in this Frozen Ever After,” Winter says.

The new opening comes in the wake of the tragic death of a two-year-old boy by an alligator outside of Disney’s Grand Floridian Hotel, which overlooks the Magic Kingdom. Disney has since changed its signs to warn of alligators.

First look: Meeting Olaf, Mickey, Minnie at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney World visitors have two new places to meet three characters at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Olaf, the comic-relief snowman from “Frozen,” are now receiving guests in new digs at the theme park.

The area designated “Mickey and Minnie Starring in Red Carpet Dreams” is off the park’s Commissary Lane, across from the entrance to Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant. Its waiting area is primarily outdoors and covered, but a basic back-and-forth queue. (At one point, this was an entrance area for auditions for the American Idol Experience attraction.) The theming is minimal at this point: Mickey-fied movie posters and piped-in swing music.

Our wait was advertised as 30 minutes, but it was more like 45 minutes before we got into the air-conditioning on Sunday, the first day that Red Carpet Dreams was open to Hollywood Studios guests. It only seemed longer than 45 minutes because the 4-year-olds among us had mid-afternoon meltdowns in rolling fashion. It’s like when one person yawns, then another one does. Then another. Only with inconsolable, undecipherable crying.

Soon, we were greeted by Minnie Mouse, who has discarded her usual polka-dot motif for a pink, flowing starlet look (with matching bow, naturally).

‘FROZEN 2’ RELEASE DATE IN 2017? JOSH GAD TALKS OLAF’S POSSIBLE LOVE INTEREST [SPOILERS]

frozen-2

Warning: Spoilers ahead! Read on to learn more about this scoop.

Frozen” is undoubtedly one of the most successful animated movies in the history. It really is not a surprise to see fans asking for a sequel to the 2013 Disney movie.

While Disney has already confirmed that a “Frozen” movie sequel was in the works, little is still known about the second installment. There have been, however, tons of rumors and speculations on the Internet.

One of the most popular and highly controversial plots for “Frozen 2” is Elsa coming out of the closet. According to Perez Hilton, the #GiveElsaAGirlfriend became a trending topic on Twitter.

The publication notes that several fans are already petitioning to make Elsa a lesbian in “Frozen 2.” This came in as a possibility because Elsa did not have any love interest in the first movie while her sister, Anna, is already committed to Kristoff.

Idina Menzel, who served as the voice behind Elsa in “Frozen,” also expressed her support for the said campaign. Menzel, however, admitted that Disney will have to figure out how to make that work should they decide to fulfill the fans’ wishes.

Josh Gad also talked about a possible love interest for his character, Olaf. Speaking with Bustle, Gad admitted that he still does not know anything about the “Frozen” sequel.

Should “Frozen 2” explore a potential love interest for Olaf, however, Gad said that he is “hesitant” about that plot and even finds it “weird.” The actor, however, shared that he has faith in the writers.

“Frozen 2” is rumored to be released in 2017.

Do you think “Frozen 2” will explore Elsa’s sexuality? Should Olaf find a love interest? Sound off in the comments!

See Frozen fan-favorite Olaf on Sofia the First in exclusive clip

A familiar face is helping Sofia out on her newest quest: Olaf from Disney’s Frozen. Josh Gad will be reprising his popular role as the lovably confused snowman for a new episode of Sofia the First.

In the episode titled “The Secret Library: Olaf and the Tale of Miss Nettle,” Sofia must stop the wicked fairy Miss Nettle (Megan Mullally) from stealing the snowdrop flowers from the kingdom of Freezenberg. It’s the perfect setting for Olaf to pop by and help Sofia out by showing her that she doesn’t need her magic amulet to save the day.

In the very first sneak peek at his appearance, the exclusive clip above shows Olaf and Sofia’s introduction. Their meeting of the minds is complete with many of the gags the dopey snowman pulled in Frozen, including his disembodied head directing the rest of him to its location. The episode will premiere following an airing of Frozen on Disney Channel.

Frozen 2 Rumors about Olaf’s New Love Interest, Serious Themes Get Stronger!

The sequel to “Frozen” is coming, although it will probably be a pretty long wait until we get it. In the meantime, fans will of course argue quit a lot about what the new film might bring to the scene, and there are already some prominent rumors in the community, some of which even make sense and sound quite plausible. Still, it’s important to remember that this film is probably in a relatively early phase of its development so it will take a while before we get any official information about it.

Frozen-Fever-2015-Image-Wallpaper-ghpv3-Free

And with that in mind, the credibility of those rumors should also be questioned as it’s not very likely that the studio has confirmed some of the finer details of the story yet. Still, it’s interesting to look at rumors like the one about Olaf’s new love interest, and check what the community is saying about the possible developments of the situation.

While the new film will still be centered on Anna and Elsa, it’s also rumored that it will add a little more depth to the character of Olaf, and throw him into his own love story with various ups and downs. However, we still have no idea who Olaf is going to fall in love with in particular, and fans are not even sure if the character is going to be another snowman or possibly a human.

One thing is clear though – this will be an interesting romance to see unfolding, and there is a lot of potential in Olafs character for an exciting love story, so the writers would be smart to consider this option even if the rumors are currently false. It’s probably not too late in the film’s development to change this detail right now, and we expect that Disney are paying a lot of attention to online discussions about the film, as they know its importance in their overall portfolio.

Olaf find flower

According to some public statements about the film, the people behind the project at least have a clear direction for its production right now and they know what they want to do with it. Which, according to some publications, is important enough by itself because it shows that a lot of thought has already gone into making “Frozen 2”, and Disney are obviously not treating this as a run-of-the-mill sequel.

But then again, the studio has never treated their sequels like that. This is one of the better things about Disney, that whenever they are ready to come out with a sequel to one of their films/franchises, they have thought it through very carefully and they are sure that they want to do it. Because of this, we have seen very few instances where a sequel to a Disney film has failed to live up to expectations, despite the fact that the studio’s fans can sometimes have quite the high expectations in the first place, and they have proven to be a somewhat difficult crowd to please in general.

Olaf-frozen-35442917-857-617

There are also other rumors and reports about “Frozen 2”, such as that it will show Anna with a special power of her own, and that there might be a theme of homosexuality in the storyline, possibly related to one of the main characters of the story too. This particular rumor has been getting a lot of attention from fans and critics alike, but it’s probably not going to be that big of a deal once the film comes out.
